Nicole Beckmann Tessel serves as the Princeton Coordinator for Interactive Histories, Co-Produced Religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Tessel is a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of History at the University of Chicago, where she researches eighteenth century Ottoman statecraft. She was educated at the University of Chicago (B.A. 2007), Columbia University (M.A., 2010), and the London School of Economics (MSc., 2010). Tessel is particularly interested in exploring how co-production as an approach to understanding Jewish, Christian, and Muslim traditions can shape teaching and learning in K-12 educational contexts.
